You will have to use a wi-fi or internet connection to get your computer up and running. You will only ever be abble to use it with some kind of internet connection. I guess if you do not have it at ghome you could go where they do have it. Be careful though about public wi-fi without using some kind of VPN.

If you already have internet in your home and it is distributed through the home via wifi, then go into the settings, turn on wifi and select your wifi name (SSID). Hopefully your wifi is password protected and then all you have to do is type the password into the iPad when the prompt screen appears and the iPad will then be connected to the internet. If your wifi is not password protected then you are at major risk of someone being able to use your wifi for free or worse may give someone access to your home network. That would not be good. Also make sure to make your password unique so it can’t be easily hacked.
