iPad Mini only has two storage options: 64GB and 256GB, some of which is used by the operating system. If you think the files and apps you will be downloading are large, then definitely go for the 256GB.

If you plan on using offline navigation maps (maps downloaded to local storage), they tend to take up a fair amount of local storage, then I’d go with the 256GB model. If your navigation maps are online, you may be able to get by with 64GB cellular model. When in doubt, go big.
