If you buy it full price the 8 plus then yes you can get the x because it doesn’t mess with your eligibility

If you paid for the phone outright without financing yes

It should be universal. Meaning if you purchase it out right then you can put any cdma or gsm SIM card in and then it’ll be attached to that carrier.
