When I buy this phone is it brand new? Or refurbished? null

Mine was brand new, sealed in a box. Oddly though, I asked for an unlocked phone with no carrier affiliation. The one I received had a Verizon SIM card already in it...I swapped it out with my SIM card and it worked fine.

The listing will indicate if it is "renewed" or "refurbished". I purchased an Unlocked iPhone SE and it was brand new.
