What year was this model originally released? null

This MacBook Air is what Apple will consider "Mid-2017" which is currently the most recent model of the MacBook Air. With that said, the Mid-2017 model is actually just a slight update of the 2015 model, so you're *technically* getting a laptop with 2015 components.
