“Does "open box" come with a warranty? I hate to save money if it will cost me money in the long run.”

Actually, of saving money the best choice it should be to try to get one with no open box and you can have your warranty for sure

Please try again later.Usually they do, all of the computers even open box have a 1 year warranty (excluding accidentals) anything after that you can have covered with Apple Care. Surprisingly, with the release of Apple Care One you can cover 3 devices for $19.99 per month. You can even add a device that is 3 years old without Apple care and get those benefits back (health check required) on the device. (Don’t want people getting Apple care for a device that’s broken and getting replacements if it was broken before enrollment)
