The new 16 inch MacBook Pro was released with Catalina. I’m pretty sure this model ships with Mojave. But no matter what, Catalina will be available with a software update.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine shipped with Catalina but I downgraded it to Mojave with a USB installer I created. Catalina has NO support for legacy 32-bit programs such as Microsoft Office 2011, which is still in widespread use. Office 2016 was the next release after 2011; most people haven't upgraded to the newest 2019 version yet. If you have a Mojave-eligible machine running High Sierra or older, you can download Mojave from the App Store. Then follow these instructions on Apple's website to create the USB installer: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201372. It takes about 5 minutes on a USB 3 drive. Boot/reboot the machine and hold down the OPTION key. TIP: You cannot search for or download Mojave on a Mac running a newer version of the OS because it will not show up in the App Store.
