• if you're referring to the Magic Mouse 2 then it is wireless & lightweight, you have the option to adjust the settings to fit your preference, and is rechargeable. the battery does last very long so there's no need to recharge it frequently. it all comes down to personal preference, this just alleviates the hassle of cords for me & I prefer that.

• I think they are identical. Look in Best Buy. The desktop mouse and the individual mouse appear to be identical.
