- Answer Not likely. It has no blue tooth function. It works with a standard electric eye. I don’t know how an iPad would receive that signal.

- Answer Nope. It's an Infra-red based remote. MacBooks apparently stopped having Infra-red technology years ago. I needed it for the same reason you did and was duped.
