The battery cannot be user replaced because the device is sealed for water resistance. This means that the battery and other internal components, are sealed in the aluminum body of the Watch, beneath the display. The battery can, however, be replaced by an authorized technician at an Apple authorized service location. In my own use, the battery life has been tremendous. Typically I can get about 1.5 to 2 days of wear out of the Watch before recharging. Of course this will vary with your usage, however I use the device primarily for notifications and workout tracking, and often charge at the end of the day to be safe. In a pinch, about a 30 minute charge will charge the Watch back to about 25-30%. In terms of battery longevity, my previous Watch lasted around 1.5 to 2 years before I noticed any significant change to the capacity, so for at least a year or two you should have no problems!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Apple Watch, at least series 5, 6 &7, batteries can be replaced. Once the MAXIMUM CAPACITY drops below 80%, you may begin to notice the battery no longer holds a charge like it used to. To check: Settings >Battery >Battery Health and look at the MAXIMUM CAPACITY value. If you have AppleCare+ you can get the battery replaced at no charge if the capacity is below 80%.
