The video doorbell was added to my Arlo Pro 2 base station as a viewing camera only without problem. This video doorbell is a stand alone system for video recoding and playback. YOU MUST PAY AN ADDITIONAL MONTHLY FEE to record/playback video from the doorbell no matter what Arlo system you have. Arlo designed this doorbell to be a monthly fee cash grab.
