• Yes, it definitely can be used to upload music into iTunes from a CD. I use it to to do the very thing. The drive on my iMac 27" computer would no longer allow me to place CDs into the drive and kept ejecting the CDs.Now, I use the external drive to download CDs into iTunes. I will also use the external drive to place music in my Sony HAPS1 high resolution music server device. I enthusiastically recommend the external drive. I hope that this answer is helpful. Thanks.
