You’re not going to want an answer from that particular Asus rep, who seemingly flunked math. I did watch a couple good YouTube videos on all the new models announced (or in some cases about to be announced). Indeed they all have soldered RAM. The 7500 MHz RAM is just too fast to be socketed. Also, although Asus does make 64 GB versions of some models, so far Best Buy has decided not to stock them, They don’t wanna be stuck with laptops with too much memory that nobody buys, so instead they’ll be stuck with laptops with too little (non-upgradeable) memory that nobody buys. One feature worth noting on this model is that it is a 2-in-1 model with 360 degree rotating hinge. By contrast the P16 I guess is not 360 degrees (after some earlier propaganda that suggested it was). Later there will be a PZ13 that is more like an iMac with detachable keyboard, but that one will have a Qualcom CPU - competing against M4 iMac I guess.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd like an answer from the ASUS rep that answered above. If 8 gb of RAM is soldered and the other slot only supports up to 16gb max, how could it come equipped with 32gb of ram? That is only 24gb of RAM but it says it has 32gb of RAM out of the box. So you're going to have to explain that math because I'm unfamiliar with it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.looking at the motherboard diagram the ram is soldered and it will come with 16-32GB of ram depending on what model you buy, however it would be cool to see an LPCAMM 2 version. the ssd is upgrade to 2TB but it is a 2230 drive. for more storage it will have to be done externally. now in response to asus I don't know where they got the 8GB number from as there will not be a variant of this device with such little memory. they may be referring to vram as it will have a 6GB and 8GB variant, listed below. 4050, 6GB VRAM 4060, 8GB VRAM 4070, 8GB VRAM
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think the answer may be incorrect as on the website showing the internals the ram looks soldered on. It does have a removable ssd for storage, however its a small 2230 mvme so slower than normal speeds and a 2TB max size. If I'm mistaken and the ram is removable it would have to be LPCAMM2 DDR5X memory in which case the max physical ram size could be much higher.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This laptop has an 8GB RAM soldered on a motherboard and one removable RAM stick on a slot. The slot supports up to a maximum size of 16GB. The SSD is upgradeable.
