“just bought this laptop and when i flip it back into the tablet the physical keyboard only stays disabled if the screen is still at an angle. when i lay the screen flat into full tablet mode, the keyboard and mousepad enables again. whats wrong?”

Try updating windows 10 as sometimes its a software issue. I would also check settings and see what options exist for the keyboard. You can also resset the PC and that might fix it. When in doubt call ASUS. If after talking to asus its still not fixed then it might be a hardware issue.
