To TheLastOracle: I recommend you ignore Jaime’s suggestion - first off, this model also has 32 GB just like the Lenovo he suggests. Also, the Lenovo has a hotter and slower Intel CPU. I call them Intel portable waffle irons. I hear ya about wanting the 64 GB as I do too - my use is software dev similar to you. One thing you can do is check the Asus direct marketing site and see if they sell a 64 GB model (I haven’t checked yet). Beyond that, we must accept that very likely most vendors will probably only offer max 32 GB models. For myself, I’ve decided I’m choosing between a 32 GB Asus P16 model or an (AMD) 32 GB Zephyrus G16 model with whatever GPU I choose. In any event I want the 50 TOPS Ryzen 9 AI 370 CPU that should be between 25% to 45% more (all 12 core) powerful than the prior 8-core AMD laptop CPUs - placing it not quite as fast/powerful as the 12-core 7845HX Fire Range CPU, thus leaving only the 16-core 7945HX and 7945HX3D laptop CPUs besting it. Regarding the needed 64 GB, I’ll just hold my nose and bump up the size of my Swap/Paging File. With any luck, the few times I have to go Virtual will be offset by the generally faster 7500 MHz RAM and the additional L3 Cache. The other factors tilting me toward an Asus model sporting the AI 370 are the (at least one) USB-C 4.0 so I can plug in a 10-gigabit Ethernet adapter that gets me high-speed networking to a file server, and a WiFi-7 wireless capability that future-proofs it for some later date when I upgrade my internet access.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably not, all this thin and light laptops have the ram soldered into the motherboard. a bit dissapointing. I would recommend you going with the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i instead, even tho it isnt upgradable as well, it has 32 gigs of ram instead of the 16 of this laptop
