• You can install a 8 or 16 gig in the extra slot. But it is best to use matching ram sizes ,such as two 8 or two 16.

• You can add either a 8 or 16 gig stick of ram. For 16 or 24 gig of ram configurations.

• Yes it is possible however you will lose dual channel functionality by not using matching capacity.
