I use this drive on a MacBook Pro 16" (2019) with touch bar. The computer has USB-C ports, but the USB-C cable did not work with the drive. Using two ports did not work either. I had to use a USB hub to make the drive work. I use the USB-A cable from the drive to the USB hub, then the hub into a USB-C port on computer with an adapter. Not a good solution, but the only way I could get it to work.
