QuestionIs the Netgear Nighthawk LTE Model 6420B sold by Best Buy the same as the Netgear Nighthawk LTE M1 (also MR1100 per more detailed data sheets) sold elsewhere? It is difficult to compare similarities/differences with limited specs. Thanks!

- Answer Yes. The hotspot has one Ethernet port. Plug a Ethernet cable in the hotspot and the other end in the internet port to the dvr for the cameras. I have my hotspot plugged to my home router (in the internet port ) and connect all my devices to my home router . Works great .

QuestionIf I purchase this item full price from Best Buy how will I know it has been unlocked?

- Answer This is not an unlocked device. But from what I read from others you should be able to get it unlocked pretty easily. Just go to AT&T website and find the device unlocking form. If it’s a fully paid device AT&T should approve the unlock with out having service from AT&T.

- Answer I never played a online game with my nighthawk so I dont know. I use mine to stream/watch live tv (sports, prem. stations and all stations) and I never had any problems. I have it maybe 15ft away from the tv

- Answer As long as you have the hotspot on a service plan and get a 4g LTE signal it will give a wifi signal. They also make a device that plugs into the obd2 port of your car for wifi.

QuestionI have a camp in an area with no internet service. My at&t cell phone work fine there, and I have an unlimited data plan for my phone. With this hotspot, would a wireless surveillance system such as Ring work in this remote location using my cell data?

- Answer The answer is "NO" and that's directly from AT&T. Yes, this device will work but in order for them to allow it access on your unlimited plan which I'm assuming is grandfathered in like mine as they do not offer it anymore, they will REQUIRE you to switch to a new plan that does not allow unlimited hotspot. Therefore, you CAN use the device but only if you are willing to give up your unlimited data plan.

- Answer I bought for full price pulled out the AT&T sim and put a Net Buddy sim in and it works great!

QuestionThe picture shows a blue light up in the corner. I have a continuously blinking Red light. Device has been plugged in for over 24 hrs. Shouldn't this light turn to a solid blue when operational?

- Answer Hi, Sometimes what happens is that it Will stop charging if it feels the batteries too hot. This is a known issue with this hotspot

- Answer This device is 200.00. As of now it is the best hotspot device out there. The operation of the device depends on where the cell tower is from you for the best reception. I connected mine to a router and my reception is much better than before.

- Answer We have tried using a foreign (non-US) sim card and it did not work for us. The unit comes with an AT&T SIM card inside with no plan attached to it. We did use an AT&T prepaid program with it and it worked fine.
