It depends on how much data you have with your plan. I have an unlimited plan (grandfathered from back when unlimited meant no throttling). I just slipped my SIM card in it and living in the country I can tell you it’s fast! I run two smart TVs, multiple phones and a tablet off it with no slow downs at all. When I’m at work, I can connect everyone’s phones and we have yet to see it slow down. Average download speeds for in the city are around 100 mbps -128 mbps. In the country, download speeds vary between 50 mbps - 120 mbps.

You could theoretically attach a wireless router via the Ethernet port but the LTE speed will be limited and not what you would expect from your wired internet. There is a reason your phone wants to connect to WiFi over cellular when it can (and it’s not just to save you money in data charges). Even though a router would give you a wireless network across a wide range you would still be channeling it via a cell phone at the end instead of a coaxial or fiber optic cable.
