- Answer The netgear nighthawk m1 mr1100 has only 1 Gigabyte ethernet port so if you want more wired connections you would need to get a switch.

- Answer Yes it does BUT at&t will eat your lunch with International rates ... You will do much better buying a Tel-Cel SIM card and using their internet locally, SIM cards are easy to swap out in / with this wireless Modem / Router model. at&t is BRUTAL on international rates. I personally DISLIKE at&t's business model but I do like their network.

QuestionWe have a cabin, very close to an AT&T tower, the only internet we have is with my cell phone, via hotspot. IF we purchase this & a separate AT&T data plan & security cameras/dvr, which need internet service to work, would this set up work? Thank you.

- Answer Yes it will work but you will run out of data too fast it’s not worth it. It’s great for checking work on your laptop and stuff like that. And make sure you turn off, at every use. Not good for downloading large games or playing videos games that need a lot mps. The service I have is 10GB.

- Answer Minimums and maximums of predicted speeds are hard to pin down on this unit, for me. However, I have 4-5 bars of service most of the time, and have it over 100mbps down and over 50mbps up with the Netgear Nighthawk mr1100 (M1).

- Answer We fulltime RV and this has worked great for our family of 4. Streaming Netflix, Amazon and Disney+ and connecting several laptops, tablets and phones has been no problem. AT&T coverage should be much better for you than sprint. I signed up with no contract through OTR Mobile for $60/month unlimited data.

QuestionUnit comes with a pre-installed micro SIM card. I plan to purchase one of the AT&T Unlimited Data pkgs on eBay for approx. $34. This requires you to know the 20 digit SIM card #. Upon purchasing the unit, does it give you this info on the SIM?

- Answer You won’t know the SIM card number until your device arrives Although you can purchase a SIM card from at&t prior to your netgear unit arriving. They cost about $5.00

QuestionI work in a building where my AT&T phone immediately goes into a "No Service" mode while I'm in my classroom. If I purchased this device, would I be able to connect my phone to it? My work cell does not have this issue because it's on the Verizon network.

- Answer This product allows you to connect cellularly to AT&T and then connect other devices to it via WiFi. If you are not getting a cellular connection with your phone, you most likely not get one with this device.

- Answer Shouldnt be an issue. Works essentially the same as a phone hotspot but with seemingly more bandwith. Ive heard that you can add this to your AT&T plan for like a small charge, but I go through a third party seller that resells AT&T unlimited. Also, I would take the battery out of the unit and plug it directly into a power converter if you are going to keep it full time in your vehicle so that you dont keep powering the battery. This extend your battery life and the unit doesnt need one to work as long as its kept plugged into a power source.

- Answer Yes but for gaming you will need to find provider that offers openNAT. AT&T has business plan that could be used but costs over $250 on average, so I went with technowzi as their plan is almost half to what AT&T charges and I didn’t need open NAT for gaming

QuestionWill this router work with a prepaid card for occasional use? I might purchase a card, use it for a month or so and then not use the router again for a couple of months. I would buy another card to replace the previous card that will have expired.

- Answer Yes but you might need a new SIM card depending on how long between uses. My company uses it at a warehouse for the Christmas season and then not the rest of the year(so basically October through January) and we were told that’s what we’d have to do to re-activate it.

QuestionWill this unit stay on all the time and provide a constant wifi connection like a standard line line connection. The current mobile hotspot device I have will time out when nothing is connected to it. I'm not concerned of over using data usage.

- Answer This device does not time out, and even had the battery if the electricity goes out to have internet from your cell phone provider. We use it as a continuous Wifi to run all our devices in our home, including Alexas, firestick, computers, and more.
