Is the base wall mountable? null

No, the base is not wall mountable.

Yes, it even comes with helpful directions to wall mount the base, you just need two screws/nails which are not included. I found that the outlet box screws from my phone jack were just barely the wrong distance for mounting the base, but using one screw anchored just above the box and the bottom outlet screw worked just fine.
