This depends on what type of device you're connecting to your TV/display. And also what kind of resolutions your device outputs are capable of producing. If your connected device is capable of producing output in 4K and your connected display can show the video; there's no cause for concern. Traditional 4K output is in the 60Hz range.

Please try again later.My understanding is that High Definition Content Protection (HDCP) is an encryption protocol between your service provider (say, DirecTV) and the TV itself, and is now pretty standard in HDTVs. As long as your TV isn’t really old and has an HDMI port, it should be fine.
