“I see it is a Cat 2 but the throttle can be disconnected to make it Cat 1. Is there a sticker on the bike indicating this? It would be needed in order to ride on Mackinac Island.”

I don’t think there is a sticker that indicates this but by definition if you remove the throttle it is a class 1 bicycle. It appears to be simple to remove the throttle fro. The handlebar and disconnect it. Voila! A class 1 bicycle.
