It stretches to about 8inches. The cable will crinkle and break after so many ins and outs. I would look for a controller that will stretch out comfortably. If you are tech savvy and handy with electronics then go for it!! Research it online, buy the cable replacement on amazon, and your set. I bought the cable (5pk) and upgraded to the Pro. I use this one as back up.
