Mine have never had this issue. If you are having issues, contact Apple Support. I also had the PowerBeats 2 Wireless, but didn't have the issue you're describing. I will say, the range and reliability for these is SO much better than the PowerBeats 2 Wireless.

We haven't noticed that and I have 2 pairs but if you press the pause button and have big fingers you will be adjusting the volume inadvertently

M friend has one of those. He said that he does not have any issues. SO probably your version was a bad batch. Maybe you need to exchange?
