Hello, Ted. The Belkin WIZ001 is compatible to work with iPhone 12 Pro Max and Apple Watch Series 6, and the charger is compatible with most cases up to 3 mm in thickness. However, the case with metal frame on the Apple Watch may or may not work with it as it may be a reason for charging concern. Thus, you may remove it, in case you encounter such issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an iPhone 11xr in an Otterbox Defender series case and it is able to charge on this Belkin stand without removing the Otterbox case. As for the Watch, it should be ok to charge in the frame as you described.
