• Yes it will charge with the case on - as long as the case doesn’t have a magnet on it (for magnetic car mount attachment).

• It does with a thin rubber case. Not sure how it would with a lifeproof or otterbox. However, with the thin case the phone had to be set exactly in the center for it to charge. Something bumped the cord at night causing the phone to slide 1/4 from center and it stopped charging.
