A:AnswerI believe that all of the water takes awhile to drain out of the basket. I usually wait about 5 minutes after it stops brewing. You can remove the coffee carafe for a cup of coffee but you have about 30 seconds to return the pot to the plate.
A:AnswerThe filters are just regular standard filters BUT I returned this coffee maker. I HATED IT and my husband HATED IT also. And yes, the cord is short. The programmable timer is ridiculous on how it works as far as setting it up. We also felt everything was cheaply made.
