A:Answer I was wondering the same thing, but I "think" that the different settings just adjust the starting temperature. I've tried to listen to the fan on the Steak setting vs the Bake setting and they both seem the same speed to me. So, I always start on the Steak setting, which starts things at 400 and manually adjust the temperature if I'm cooking at a lower temp. This is just my educated guess though.
