Do you need the module 2 for the blink doorbell? null

No. I found it operates just fine on it's own. I went to the module to add another item - a mini cam unit.

It helps. Otherwise you need Blinks Paid Cloud Service ( 3- $10 Monthly Fee). Easiest option. But the Module has Usb Port ( can use usb stick for local storage). Otherwise you would have to screenshot from your Phone. Blink is not fully Transparent Prior to Purchase. Wyze is a nice alternative & pairs well with Alexa. Search cameras No paid Subscription. GL.
