No, this is a Sync Module which is required to communicate to the device. The nice thing is that if you add a thumb drive it'll locally record the video for free :)

Hi there, The small sync module box is not a chime for the doorbell. It allows it to more effectively communicate with the internet & your Blink app.

the little box is the module as long as you set it up right the door button and your phone rings
