• The Pioneer DEH-S4220BT is designed to work with iPhone, not with iPod. Apple quit making iPods some time ago. When using an iPhone you'll get hands free phone calls and text messaging. In addition, any music that is stored on your iPhone can be searched and played. This can all be done wireless through Bluetooth and mostly done by voice command. If you plug in an iPod through USB or connect through Bluetooth, depending upon the generation of iPod, you'll get different levels of functionality. Generally you can play all of the songs, buy your search function is very limited or may not work at all.
