• Unlocked means it can be used by all carriers, unlike if you were to buy a phone directly from at&t or verizon

• The Web is very slow. The GPS is good. Not sure about the phone being locked.

• Yes, I have used this phone on multiple occasions as GPS navigation and do plenty of web searching from it as well.

• Yes you can even use them as a hot spot, Locked just means that is is propritary for Sprint service Reload cards (pre paid service) Non locked can be used for service providers of your choice
