“Lots of reviews here and from other websites mentioned the bad smell like melting plastic coming out from the 1st day use. Some said it will go after several washes, but some could not get rid of it, and they can smell that from the plates. Is that true?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't experience this smell upon first use or even 2nd. Most electronic appliances can give off an odor of plastic burning & after being in the TV biz for 30+ years, that is normal. My only concern would be that the junction box that comes with these units be wired properly. But in that case, it would either trip a breaker or do real damage fast, possibly resulting in a burned out motor or circuit of some kind. But I'm sure if installed properly, it's normal.
