Whisper quiet dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here are the things that I was looking to get answers for when I was researching this dishwasher. First it’s black stainless. It is a gray black not a brown black. It doesn’t show finger prints. It’s a good thing that there is a tiny red light that shines on the floor when it’s running because you can’t hear it. It cleans, I mean really cleans. I refuse to wash my dishes before I wash my dishes. I have tried to put the worst dishes with caked on sausage gravy, bbq sauce, ketchup, salad dressing. You name it. I even left the yuck stuck on them for days and they come out SPARKLING!! Don’t worry that there isn’t a heating element. It dries your dishes. I seriously can’t say enough great things about this Bosch dishwasher. The only slight con is the same con consumer report had...configuration. The top rack... I use for shaker cup lids, cutlery, measuring cups. The 2nd...rack cups, glasses, bowls. The 3rd rack (this is where it’s not perfect. Some of the tines are close together which makes it creative for pots pans and large items. But I don’t care. THIS IS THE BEST DISHERWASHER EVER!!! Sorry I got excite I just can believe how well it cleans, and how unbelievably quiet it is.

Very satisfied
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After going back and forth on two different brand dishwasher to purchase, we decided on the 800 series Bosch. Our initial concern was drying of dishes without heating elements. I am so glad to have bought the Bosch 800. The dishes dry almost completely, plastics have a few drops on them, but the quality if the wash if far better than any previous dishwasher I have ever owned. There is some installation concerns if you are replacing an existing unit that does not have plumbing and electrical connections in the Bosch locations. And the remote transformer that is needed to be installed outside the standard dishwasher cavity. With a few new holes in our cabinetry, we were able to install this with not too much trouble. The end result justified the additional install work. As a bonus, it is by far the quietest dishwasher I have seen.

Perfect for entertaining
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very quiet, love the 3rd rack for the odd small items such as chop sticks & straws. Anyone that complains about how this loads shouldn’t reproduce... Great for parties with wine tastings due to short wash cycles. Excellent for heavy loads with many pots & pans. Overall, it operates as advertised. Side note plus, built in our state.

Overall highly satisfied
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great appliance! It cleans well and the fact that i can’t actually really hear when it is running is the best plus for me! The third rack for small things had been the most convenient with kids and the amount of meals I cook!

Excellent fit and finish
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looks as good as a dishwasher can. I like not having a brand name advertised on the front panel and the recessed handle gives it a clean look. It’s also very quiet. My only criticism is lack of a built in disposal, but I’m not giving Bosch a star demerit because I couldn’t find a modern dishwasher that still has a disposal. Clean out procedure is simple enough and the missing disposal does make it quieter and more energy efficient. Bonus points for being manufactured in New Bern, NC

Quiet and a great wash!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed a quiet and higher end model for an open floor plan kitchen, since the sink was in close proximity to our living area TV and this was perfect. It runs extremely quiet and we don’t realize it’s running until you see the LED red light indicator shining on the floor, telling you that is in a cycle. The only time it really makes any type of moderate noise is when it drains to the sink, which is very quick and really isn’t a negative in my opinion. I highly recommend this model for anyone needing a quiet wash and a pretty thorough cleaning.

Superb cleaning
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You get what you pay for when you buy a Bosch - a high quality appliance with excellent cleaning ability, versatile rack layout, and ultra-quiet operation. Thank goodness there is a red light that shines on the floor when it is on because it is so that quiet you can't actually tell - the ticking of my kitchen clock is louder! And Best Buy installation was punctual, quick, courteous, and professional - in fact flawless. Highly recommended!

Bosch best consumer report review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have looked at all options and the Bosh might rarely ever be on sale but it is money well spent . The black stainless steel finish comes in flat only the touchscreen option is easy to use . You will not hear this washer run but the right bottom red LED light will indicate that the dishwasher is running . When thI cycle finished you will hear a quiet beep

Q: QuestionI've read some complaints about Bosch dishwashers having a strange configuration on bottom rack (tines in a weird direction) making it difficult to load. This is a newer model. Was that rectified or is it still a problem?
Asked by V.
- A:Answer 100% bottom rack is terrible. It is a nightmare to load. Worst design of a bottom dish rack....perhaps in the history of humanity. What were the engineers thinking????

Q: QuestionDoes the Bosch has a dry cycle? A friend of mine told me she was going with a Kitchenaid, because Bosch does not have a dry cycle and she was not interested in having to dry her dishes.
Asked by Stella.
- A:Answer The Bosch dishwasher does have drying cycle, but it doesn't have a heating element in the bottom. Bosch uses hot air distributed from a vent in the lower back side of the left side panel. This prevents spilled food or small plastic ware from falling on the element and burning. Dishes are dry when the dishwasher completes its cycle.

Q: QuestionDoes the black stainless finish on the Bosch dishwasher match black stainless on Samsung appliances?
Asked by Rosie.
- A:Answer I have the black stainless Bosch on one wall by the sink. It is a matte finish. I have the Samsung range and microwave on another wall. The finish is semi gloss. It suits me fine as I like both my products. No one ever notices that they are slightly different finishes. The gray is the same just the finish a little different.

Q: QuestionIm thinking about getting this dish washer for my kitchen. But I will need to be able to answer my wifes question before purchasing this unit. Her question is How will you know if the machine is done washing? Will there be a beep to let me know etc.
Asked by Bossmaah.
- A:Answer Hi there, thank you for your question. During the washing and drying cycle there will be a red dot that illuminates on the floor, letting you know your dishwasher is in-use. Once the cycle has completed the light will disappear and the dishwasher will chime.

Q: QuestionDo I need to purchase the installation kit with this dishwasher? Many reviews said the dishwasher comes with all parts needed for the installation.
Asked by Megg.
- A:Answer No it does not. You need to buy a dishwasher install kit or buy the parts individually. It needs a water line, right angle hose bibb connector to whatever size your water line is (mine was 3/8 compression) and you will need a power cord. Even if replacing an older unit I recommend changing these parts just to be on the safe side since the kit is only about $30 and an old water line can cause much more in damage if it leaks.

Q: QuestionHow does this '800' series differ from the 500 series ? Middle of model code: '800' series is '78' and '500' series is '65'
Asked by Stan.
- A:Answer 800 has more folding tines. Touch controls verses buttons. More energy efficient. It is larger. It has more settings. Has eco cycle

Q: QuestionGot new Bosch installed. I've tried all dry settings...not drying..items in dishwasher are still wet, even on sanitize.
Asked by Suzyquee11.
- A:Answer First thing I'd check is that the rinse aid dispenser is full. If so, go to pages 12 & 13 of the manual to check the rinse aid setting. It should be set to at least r:04 for good drying results. 5 is the factory default. It may have been accidentally changed. The only other thing I can think of is to make sure the water outlet hose has the required loop in it going to the drain. It may not be emptying all the way & making it harder or impossible for the machine to dry the dishes because of excess water staying in the machine. I added pics of both scenarios for you to compare.

Q: Questioncan you interrupt the wash cycle to add a forgotten item?
Asked by cathyinPA.
- A:Answer This is my 3rd Bosch 800. (We move a lot and replace the existing DW with a Bosch). I add forgotten items all the time. I think you have to press “start” again. I also use the speed wash exclusively.
