• Better question is why you would loan out a $400.00 pair of headphones? Nobody uses my headphones but me. I consider headphones as personal as a toothbrush or razor. The earpieces are easy to clean with a damp cloth.

• I would just use rubbing alcohol. Not harsh and shouldn't damage the finish.
