“Are these made of better quality materials than the quiet comfort 2. I had purchased two pairs of the quiet comforts and both of them, after only a short period of time, the padding around the ears split open and fell apart. That's expensive garbage.”

I owned the QC2 for many years and only replaced the ear cups after about 10 years. So my experience was better. These seem to be well made and sturdy, but hard to know if they’ll stand up as well or better than QC2 after just a few months.
