• They are better at cancelling noise that is constant, like from an airplane for example. Also I'm not sure how comfortable they will be if you are also trying to sleep.

• Cpap device. Or an old fashioned clothespin on the nose. My wife says her qc 15s do not work with my sawing lumber, nor my qc 35s I lent to her. Maybe earplugs AND noise reduction headphones may do the trick, it by that time I used my cpap device.
