That was my problem too. I had to use closed caption in order to know what was being said. With this sound bar, you can place it in front of the tv and the sound comes from there. I adjusted the bass on the universal remote that comes with the bar and now I can clearly hear every word being spoken. I highly recommend this for older folks whose hearing isn’t like it use to be. Hope this helped answer your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had lots of trouble hearing dialogue on tv. I set closed captions to be on all the time to help me understand what was being said. I read many reviews of sound bars and decided to purchase the Bose based on their reputation and the fact that the sound bar has a setting for enhanced dialogue. Now I don’t need the closed captions due to the enhanced dialogue option but I think I still need greater than normal volume. Hearing aids are probably next.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can't go wrong with the Bose Solo 5 sound bar. I have 3 of them and the sound is phenomenal. From watching movies to news programs to even listening to music the full rich sound and clarity you get from Bose is unbeatable. It takes up very little space and is very simple to install. Just be sure to double check the sound settings of your TV to make sure you get the most out of it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I should think this sound bar would be perfect. There is no sub-woofer, so it's not heavy with base. As it is a Bose Sound Bar, the quality and crispness are superb. We placed it in our game room, the tv is mostly broadcasting sports and commentary base programs. I couldn't be happier with the clarity and sound it produces..
