No it has great sound. It’s a Bose. No need for it.

The Solo-5 Soundbar does not require the usage of an external sub-woofer or Bass module, and there is not one available for this system. The Bass is produced by the internal speakers of the Soundbar itself, and the level of bass can be adjusted using the remote control to find a level you are happy with. We would always advise visiting a store to listen to this product for yourself to ensure that you are happy with the quality of sound that this produces before making your final decision!

Please try again later.if you turn the volume up half way and make it loud it has decent bass i beleive u r not able to add a subwoofer to this soundbar some tvs take the thick 40 dollar optical digital wire some tvs take the thin optical wire that comes with the sound bar the 40 dollar one u have to buy seperate
