This one (the SoundLink Max) does NOT have an SD slot. I wish it did! That would be a great feature (hint hint Bose & other speaker makers). You have to connect it to an external player - MP3 player, cell phone… through an old fashioned plug jack or USBc jack or Bluetooth.
