“After you link to bluetooth, does it cut off the first beat of music after you hit play? I'm a dance teacher and need a portable speaker for performances. The one I'm currently using (not a Bose product) cuts off the first beat or two of the music”

• If you have the speaker linked already and hit play it plays every beat. Just make sure to have it connected already because the speaker has a voice that tells you when it's connected or not and that could cut the first beat if you. Are trying to connect after hitting play. But if it's already connected and you hit play you will get every bit of your song.

• I teach dance as well, and this is an excellent choice for teaching lessons or practice. The speaker plays right where you start the music or sound file. If your performances are in a large auditorium, the Sound Link would not be loud enough I wouldn't think.

• I play a lot of music on my Bose SoundLink Mini 2 and have not ever had the problem you speak of. The Bose announces the device connected and the battery life left on the speaker and then starts the song from the beginning. I hope this was of some help to you.

• As long as the speaker is paired to the Bluetooth audio device prior to starting the song, you will hear the song in its entirety once you begin playback.

• Once you sink this speaker to a compatible device, it does not cut off the first beat.
