“In the interior, is the heating element visible? My old ones were always incased in the interior and this one I purchased about a year ago has an open element that is in the top and it is not covered so it burns anything I try to cook in the convection?”

The BMO870 does have exposed elements. It is a different brand and I am not happy with it so I am looking to replace it. I do not like the exposed element because it cooks the top of food too fast and the middle isn't cooked through. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
