“Hi there, my new cafe dishwasher (model CDT805p2ns1) isn’t drying well. Leaves water on sides and bottom of machine on “normal” and “ultra dry” cycles. See picture attached after ultra dry cycle. Is this normal or should I get it checked?”

Good dry performance begins with the temperature of the water coming into the dishwasher. We recommend checking to be sure you are getting a minimum of 120° water coming into the dishwasher. Using a candy/cooking thermometer you can check the incoming water. At the sink nearest the dishwasher, place the thermometer into a cup or glass and turn the hot water on to run into the cup. After several minutes, check the temperature of the water. If it is below 120°F, consider turning the temperature setting up on your water heater to reach the proper inlet temperature. If the incoming temperature is correct, we recommend calling GE Appliances Service at 1-800-432-2737 to have your dishwasher checked by an authorized service technician.
