Yes, You can play the campaign solo.

Yeah you can play all the modes "solo". Campaign is truly solo. Playing online like Team Death Match and Domination and Free-For-All can be "solo". You would have teammates in those first two modes obviously. Zombies I believe you can play solo or with up to 3 other friends or random people. Can't say I recommend zombies on solo though!
