“I got this printer because it said it was compatible with mac OS but there is no USB cord and the cd is not mac compatible. Can any one tell me what USB cord they use or if they found an online install?”

I don't know about the mac compatibility but the cord didn't come with mine either. Had to run to Walmart and get one
