Yes, it also scans. Not the best quality but it gets the job done.

Yes, this printer also has a scan feature. If you click on the icon for Canon Quick Menu, it will give you several buttons to click on for things that you could do. Click on the second one going down that says "Scan photos and documents." After it opens up you will have a message that says if you need help with scanning to click on Instructions. After that you should be good to go.

Yes. It scans to a few different types of files including .pdf and .jpg, the only two I use. Hope this helps.
