Please try again later.If you only have one landline phone number, then while the fax is transmitting or receiving a fax you won't be able to make or answer a phone call---because the fax is using the phone. . If you have two different landline phone NUMBERS, meaning you have two landline phone lines, one is given or dedicated to the fax machine, which leaves the other phone number/phone line for you to use as a regular phone. . You say you have a splitter, this usually means a modular phone plug that splits ONE phone number or ONE phone line into two EXTENSIONS, but this is NOT two separate or different phone lines, and NOT two different phone numbers.
