Canon 240 and 241xl DO NOT FIT THE PRINTER!!!! DO NOT TRY TO PLACE 240XL AND 241XL INK CARTRIDGES INTO THE CANON PIXMA MX492, THE PREVIOUS RESPONSE SAYING IT WILL WORK IS A FLAT OUT LIE AND COST ME 67.00 DOLLARS AS I CAN NOT RETURN OPEN CARTRIDGES!!!!! YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO USE SERVICES THAT REFILL THESE CARTRIDGES, THEY DO NOT WORK EITHER MAKING SURE YOU PAY CANON TOP DOLLAR FOR THE REST OF YOUR NATURAL LIFE!!!! I AM CHUCKING THIS WHOLE THING IN THE GARBAGE AND BUYING ONE THAT DOES NOT COST ME 70 DOLLARS A WEEK!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

the person who said it works is living a lie and hates his parents. it doesn't work, don't waste your money, get the 246 color and 245XL black for this kind of printer
