I use mine mainly for vlogging, but I think it would work for showing the colors. However it’s really all about the lighting when you’re trying to capture that perfect before and after. Honestly I think an iPhone in portrait mode would have the same capabilities this camera has when it comes to just taking photos. I would play around with your cell phone camera and lighting in the salon first before spending the money on this point and shoot style camera. You’d be surprised at the quality your phone takes when you have the right lighting. If it’s an option to take your client outdoors for photos you’ll have the best luck! Hope this helps :)
